Thanking your leaders as well as the people who serve on committee's or hold a position on your service team is very important.  If you are currently serving on the service team or you are the service unit manager then you know that you find that you are thanking the same people over and over.  Knowing this to be true it is important that you find ways that does not extend the length of the meeting because this could be a reason that your attention is beginning to drop.

Here you will find ideas of simple thank you's that can be done through out the year and will take very little time out of your meeting. 

It is important to try to find ways to thank as many people as you can because that is the way to get people to volunteer for other assignments.

Lastly, these cute ideas are great, but it is your job as the service unit manager or a member of the service team to submit the names of people who have gone above the call of duty for a national or council recognition.  Check with you council to see what recognitions are available and what the requirements and deadlines are to nominate someone.
