Banana Split Year

Start with the first meeting, give everyone a name tag that has a long ribbon on it. Tell the leaders for every meeting they attend they will get a sticker on their ribbon which represents one item that would go on a banana split. You will need nine items which will cover meetings from August through April. The nine items are as follows: Banana, one scoop of ice cream, 2nd scoop of ice cream, 3rd scoop of ice cream, choc. topping, strawberry topping, pineapple topping, whip cream with the cherry and a spoon. In May the Service Unit has a Banana Split party and the leaders receive the items that appear on their ribbons. If the leaders did not have all of the items, like a spoon, you might consider letting them buy it and donate the money to the JLWFF. The service unit that did this was happy to report that about 1/2 the leaders and co-leaders had all of their stickers and the rest of them were only missing one or two items.
